Political drama has started again in Karnataka. Now there are murmurs of rebellion in the ruling party Congress. There is widespread dissatisfaction in the party. About 30 MLAs have camped in Delhi.
The rebellion that broke out from Bangalore has reached Delhi. Everyone has only one objective to reshuffle the cabinet as soon as possible by putting pressure on the party high command, especially Rahul Gandhi and National President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Demand of MLAs, there should be expansion along with cabinet reshuffle.
According to news agency ANI, the MLAs who reached Delhi are being led by Belur Gopalkrishna and Ashok Pattan. He has said that his demand is regarding cabinet expansion. The MLAs believe that there are many ministers in the Karnataka government who have held this post three, four or five times. In such a situation, other MLAs should also get a chance, who have not got a place in the cabinet till now. Information has been received quoting MLA Belur Gopalkrishna that we are going to request the high command that new faces should be given a chance in place of the leaders who are becoming ministers again and again.
It is believed that camping in Delhi is not sudden. This was planned during a dinner party in March. Then CM Siddaramaiah had said that after two years the cabinet will be changed and new people will be given place. Now even after three years have passed, no concrete steps have been taken in this direction. It is necessary to create pressure after the results of recent by-elections.
MLA wants to meet party high command
This group of MLAs is trying to meet Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Randeep Surjewala, KC Venugopal. They believe that there will be a reshuffle in the cabinet. A demand has been made to reshuffle about 25 posts.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s statement has also come on this entire matter. He has said that there is nothing wrong in ministerial candidates coming to New Delhi. The work of cabinet reshuffle is still pending. Elections and budget session in five states may be the reason for delay in cabinet reshuffle.
