Weather Forecast: Rain, lightning and heatwave… the weather will wreak havoc! Warning for the country including UP, Delhi-Bihar

Mixed weather effects will be seen across the country today (Tuesday (April 14)). According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the effect of cyclonic circulation in North-East India, there will be light to moderate rain in Assam and Meghalaya. There is a possibility of winds blowing at a speed of 30-50 km per hour along with thunderstorms. There is a possibility of light rain in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today. A warning of heavy rain and lightning has been issued in Arunachal Pradesh.

According to IMD, there is less chance of rain in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today, but light rain and lightning are expected from April 17 to 19. In Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, strong winds of 30-40 km per hour may occur in the afternoon and evening. There is a possibility of light rain along with thunderstorms and strong winds in West Bengal and Sikkim on 14-15 April.

South India and Central India will be mainly affected by heat and moisture. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in North Karnataka on 14-17 April. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and winds up to 30 km per hour. There are chances of lightning and light rain in Karnataka also from 14-17 April. There is a danger of lightning in Kerala on Tuesday. Heat wave conditions can be seen at different places in Saurashtra and Kutch of Gujarat today.

Which states are at risk of heat wave?
There is a possibility of heat wave in Maharashtra on 15-16 April. A gradual increase of 2-6 degrees Celsius can be seen in the temperature. Apart from this, heat wave warning has been issued in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha around 15-18 April. At present, the weather will remain hot in Bihar, Saurashtra, Kutch, Goa, Odisha, Gujarat and southern coastal areas. Fishermen have been advised to exercise caution in parts of the North Arabian Sea and along the North Gujarat coast.
