Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the campaign against Iran has been successful to a large extent. He claimed that with this action Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs have been destroyed and now pressure on it is being continuously increased.
Netanyahu said that this campaign is not completely over yet, but great success has been achieved so far. He alleged that Iran had been trying to surround Israel for a long time through different countries and organizations, such as Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Assad government in Syria, militias in Iraq and Houthi in Yemen. He says that Iran used to talk about destroying Israel, but now it itself is struggling to survive.
America and Iran talks failed
His statement has come at a time when talks between America and Iran took place in Pakistan, which ended without any result. No agreement could be reached in this conversation that lasted for about 21 hours. US Vice President JD Vance said that there was no progress in the talks. He said that this situation is bad, but it is more harmful for Iran. According to Vance, America negotiated honestly and also showed flexibility, but could not get a clear assurance from Iran that it would not make nuclear weapons in the future, which was America’s biggest condition.
Why did Iran hold America responsible?
Iran blamed America for the failure of talks. According to Iranian media, Iran had made several proposals, but no agreement could be reached due to America’s wrong demands. Amidst this entire situation, Pakistan has appealed to both the countries to follow the ceasefire. Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that his country will continue to make efforts for talks between America and Iran.
US President Donald Trump’s claim
US President Donald Trump also claimed that America has got a military victory in this conflict and Iran’s power has suffered a lot. He also warned that if China supports Iran in this matter, it may have to face difficulties. Meanwhile, America has also claimed that two of its warships have reached the Strait of Hormuz, where they are working to remove landmines laid in the sea. America alleges that these tunnels have been installed by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), although Iran has vehemently rejected this allegation. Iran has warned that if any military ship enters this route, it will have to face serious consequences.
