A big update has come out regarding the ongoing peace talks between America and Iran in Islamabad. Former High Commissioner of Pakistan Abdul Basit has said that the agreement between America and Iran is not easy. US President Donald Trump is constantly trying to put pressure on Iran. On the other hand, Iran is also adamant on its conditions at the moment. Abdul Basit has said this while talking to ABP News.
Abdul Basit was asked that before the peace talks, many conditions are being put before America by Iran, America is not ready to accept them, then how will the talks move forward in the right direction. On this Basit said, ‘Whenever there is any compromise or agreement, flexibility has to be shown for it. In such a situation, we hope that now that the delegations of both the countries have come to Islamabad, and a process has started, some good results will also emerge from it.
Pakistan will also try its best to find a way out – Basit
He said, ‘Pakistan will try its best to find a way out. Which are ten points of Iran and 15 points of America. In such a situation, there is hope that someone will find a middle path. So that the world is in trouble that the war does not start again, at least it can be avoided. However, nothing can be said clearly regarding the talks.

Pakistan’s role in taking the talks in a positive direction
Apart from this, he has said that no one can give guarantee as to what will happen, but Pakistan has the experience of mediation. In such a situation, it is not an issue of how to take this issue forward. The real issue is that there are disputes between both the parties. In such a situation, the prayer is that there should be no war. There are 14 days, if no agreement can be reached then at least the talks should be taken forward. At present, it is too early to say anything about how the outcome of the talks will be. In such a situation, Pakistan’s role is to take this dialogue forward in a positive direction.
