US Iran Peace Talks in Pakistan: The first round of talks took place between America and Iran in Islamabad, Pakistan on Saturday (April 11). During this, many issues were discussed ranging from Strait of Hormuz to ceasefire in Lebanon. However, no consensus could be reached on any issue. Iran had put four conditions before America at the very beginning of the talks. After the end of the first round of talks, the delegations of both the countries submitted the main issues to each other in writing. Now talks can continue again on Sunday.

A US delegation led by Vice President JD Vance met directly with Iranian officials in Pakistan on Saturday. This was an important moment for both the countries. Generally, these two countries have been able to hold high level talks only through middlemen. According to Iran media, the first phase of talks has been completed. In this, the officials have prepared a written outline of important issues and submitted it to each other.

Lebanon also mentioned in US-Iran talks

The issue of Lebanon was also discussed between America and Iran. Iran wants ceasefire to be implemented in Lebanon also. He has asked America to put pressure on Israel so that it does not attack Lebanon. However, no consensus could be reached on this issue either.

Importantly, Israel’s ongoing military campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon is becoming an obstacle to peace efforts. In such a situation, there is a plan to meet diplomats from Israel and Lebanon next week. Lebanon’s PM has postponed his visit to America.
