The situation in the Middle East has once again become tense. Despite the ceasefire between America and Iran, Israel’s continuous attacks on Lebanon have made the situation more serious. After these attacks, instability has increased in the entire region and now the ceasefire also seems to be in danger.
Iran has adopted a clear stand on this issue. Iran’s Foreign Ministry has said that if military action in Lebanon is not stopped then the ceasefire will have no meaning. He also made it clear that stopping attacks in Lebanon is the real condition of ceasefire.
Israeli air attack
Israel’s recent air strikes have caused huge damage in Lebanon. According to the report, at least 254 people have died and 1,165 people have been injured in these attacks. Densely populated areas of the capital Beirut have been most affected, making the situation more worrying. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghai has strongly condemned these attacks. He called it a shameful and disgusting crime and said that it is a flagrant violation of the ceasefire. He has also held America responsible for this.
Statement by Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has given a strong message to America. He said that America will have to decide whether it wants a ceasefire or this ongoing conflict through Israel. According to him, both things cannot go together. Araghchi also said that now the decision is in the hands of America and the whole world is keeping an eye on this situation. It is clear from his statement that if the situation does not change, the tension may increase further in the coming days.
