Udhampur basantgarh encounter: A terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Bihali area of Basantgarh in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. This area comes under the entire forest area where security forces have surrounded four terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed. These terrorists are being searched for the last one year.
The Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police Basantgarh started search operation on the basis of accurate information in the Basantgarh Bihali area. During this, firing started from the terrorists, which was replied by the security forces. Additional security forces have been sent to this area. Security forces are running search operations amid bad weather.
Bhim Sen, Inspector General of Police of Jammu Range Bhim Sen said, 4 terrorists have been detected at 8:30 am, which we were searching for for the last one year. Despite the fog, the search operation is going on and the real situation will be known only after the weather improves.
According to the report of the news agency PTI, officials said that the terrorists who have been surrounded are members of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed and a joint search team led by Army Para Commandos found them hiding near Karur Nala. Jammu -based Army’s White Night Core posted on X and said, “The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation in Basantgarh area. Facked with terrorists. The search operation is still going on.”
