He claimed that after the formation of the double engine government, about 1.5 lakh bighas of land has been freed from encroachment.

Majhi said that various schemes of the BJP government have benefited the poor sections, especially women, and their livelihoods have improved. Tea garden workers, who had been struggling for land rights for a long time, are now being given land leases and their daily wages have also increased.
