Apart from the capital Delhi, heavy rains along with thunderstorms were seen in many states of North India including UP, Punjab, Bihar. Apart from this, farmers have suffered a lot of damage to their crops due to hailstorm.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain, strong winds and hailstorm will continue in North-West India. According to IMD, even today on April 5, there may be light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. During this period, winds are likely to blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour.
Warning for which states?
The weather may worsen once again on April 7 and 8. Rain and thunderstorm are expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha on April 8. There is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also. There is a possibility of rain in many states of South India including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Karnataka between April 5 and 8.
Delhi weather
Storm and rain wreaked havoc in Delhi also. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will keep changing between April 5-7. This evening, there may be light rain along with drizzle and strong winds. During this period, winds can blow at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour.
Storm and rain wreak havoc in UP
Storm and rain are continuing in UP for the last 48 hours. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has again given the latest update, according to which on Sunday (April 5), there will be movement of clouds in some places and sunshine in some places in the state. The Meteorological Department estimates that in the next 48 hours the maximum temperature in different cities of the state will decrease by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.
According to the information received from Lucknow Meteorological Center, on April 5, there may be light rain amid the movement of dark clouds in many districts of the eastern division of UP. During this period, strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour can also be seen in 20 districts. Today the weather will be clear in western UP. On April 6, the Meteorological Department has kept all 75 districts in the green zone. Movement of clouds will be seen again in the state from April 7.
When does it rain in Bihar?
IMD has predicted that there may be heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Bihar on April 5, 6 and 9, while on April 7 and 8, there is a possibility of thunderstorm along with hailstorm. During this period, winds will blow at a speed of about 60 kilometers per hour.
