Pakistan has completely rejected the reports in which it was being said that its efforts to hold talks between America and Iran have come to a halt. Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andarabi has termed these reports as baseless. He said that such claims are being made in some media reports and on social media, which have no connection with any official information.
According to the PTI report, Tahir Andarabi clearly said that the information given by any government source in this matter is wrong. According to him, this controversy has arisen due to misunderstanding of information about a closed meeting held in the Ministry of External Affairs. Andarabi appealed to the media not to run news without verification and to rely only on official statements, especially at a time when tensions are high in the region.
Pakistan rejected the reports
In fact, it was said in some reports that Pakistan worked to convey the message between America and Iran, but due to lack of clear response from Iran, the talks could not move forward. It was also claimed in a report that Iran has refused to meet any American delegation in Islamabad. According to these reports, both Pakistan and China tried to persuade Iran for talks, but till now Iran has not given any positive indication. However, Pakistan says that its efforts are still continuing and it remains in touch with Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Threat looms on Strait of Hormuz
It is noteworthy that the war started in the Middle East after the attack by America and Israel on February 28, in which Iran’s top leader Ali Khamenei was also killed. After this, Iran retaliated and the conflict escalated. The impact of this war has spread to the Gulf region and has especially had a major impact on oil supply through the Strait of Hormuz.
