LPG Cylinder Price Hike: The central government has once again increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. The new rates have come into effect from today, which will have a direct impact on hotels, restaurants and businessmen. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 218. After this the prices have increased in different cities.
Now the cylinder will be costlier by Rs 194 in Delhi, Rs 203 in Chennai, Rs 196 in Mumbai and Rs 218 in Kolkata. However, there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders this time.
New prices after increase
After this increase, the price of commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has become Rs 2078.50, which was earlier Rs 1884.50. In Kolkata, a 19 kg cylinder now costs Rs 2208. Its price in Mumbai has reached Rs 2031. This cylinder will now be available in Chennai for Rs 2246.50. The rate of commercial LPG cylinder in Patna has become Rs 2365, while in Jaipur its price has become Rs 2031.
Prices had increased on March 7 also
Earlier on March 7 also, the prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders were increased. At that time, domestic cylinder had become costlier by Rs 60 and commercial cylinder by Rs 114.50. After the increase, the price of 14.2 kg domestic cylinder in Delhi became Rs 913, which was earlier Rs 853. This is the second time in less than a year that prices have been increased. Earlier in April 2025 also there was an increase of Rs 50.
Common man will be affected
The increase in LPG prices will have a direct impact on the pockets of the common man. Due to commercial cylinders becoming expensive, hotel and restaurant operators can increase the prices of food items. This means that ordering food from outside may now be more expensive than before. Due to the ongoing war between Iran and America, there has been a lot of fluctuation in gas prices.
