This information was given by Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump himself. This decision has been approved by Ron DeSantis. According to the report of CBS News, he signed a bill, after which the name of this airport will be changed. The new name will come into effect from July 1. Eric Trump expressed happiness by posting on social media platform X and said that he is proud to make a small contribution to this work. He also thanked many leaders and officials for this.
Although the Federal Aviation Administration has clarified that changing the name of the airport is a local level decision and does not have their direct approval, but after changing the name they have to update their records and systems. Meanwhile, the Trump administration had already applied for a trademark on this name. Many travel related items like bags, clothes and other items were also included in this application. The company has also said that Donald Trump or his family will not get any financial benefit from this name change and they will not take any money from it. This decision is being considered a big political and symbolic step in America, the discussion about which has intensified.
