Before the assembly elections in West Bengal, the series of allegations and counter-allegations continues between political parties. In this sequence, State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while addressing an election rally, has fiercely targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He alleged that if BJP comes to power in West Bengal, they will drive out bulldozers and throw everyone out.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed an election rally in Raniganj in West Bardhaman district of the state on Saturday (March 28, 2026). He said that in trying to destroy West Bengal, BJP will lose its power in the entire country. Banerjee announced that after winning the West Bengal Assembly elections for the fourth consecutive time, she would unite all political parties for Delhi victory.
Mamta Banerjee accused BJP of crossing limits
According to news agency PTI, Mamata Banerjee accused the Election Commission of working at the behest of BJP for removing names of voters during SIR in West Bengal and said that there must be a Lakshman Rekha, but BJP is crossing all limits. Challenging the BJP, he said, ‘SIR, this will prove to be your death knell. While referring to the clashes that took place during the Ram Navami procession in Raghunathganj, Murshidabad, he claimed that the administration did not take any action. I am the elected Chief Minister, but they have taken away all the powers.
BJP loots and lies: Mamata Banerjee
According to PTI, Banerjee alleged that the BJP takes money from illegal coal mines and then accuses the Trinamool Congress of being thieves. He said that BJP loots and lies. He further said that many development projects have been initiated in the state during the TMC regime, including modernization initiatives of steel and power plants and setting up of greenfield industries. He claimed that our government has reduced unemployment in the state by 40 percent and created two crore new employment opportunities in the entire state.
