‘Strong engine of UP development under BJP government’, PM Modi inaugurates the first phase of Jewar Airport

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated Phase-1 of Noida International Airport by pressing the remote button. He inaugurated the cargo terminal and laid the foundation stone of the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility to be developed in an area of 40 acres. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and others were present during the program.

He said that with the construction of Jewar Airport, the pressure of Delhi Airport will be reduced and there will be a balance of development in NCR. Noida, Greater Noida, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Agra, Buldanshar, Faridabad and surrounding areas are going to get huge benefits. This is going to bring new opportunities for farmers, youth and others. Not only will planes fly to the world from here, it will also become a symbol of developed Uttar Pradesh. This program is a symbol of the new mood of India.

The world is worried but India is developing
The Prime Minister said that today the whole world is worried. There has been a war going on in West Asia for a month. Due to which, there is a crisis of food items, petrol, diesel, gas, fertilizers and other essential commodities in many countries. Every country is trying to face this crisis. India is also facing the crisis with full force.

A large quantity of crude oil and gas comes to India from war-affected countries, hence the government is taking every step so that families and farmers are not burdened with the crisis. Even in times of crisis, India has continued its development at a fast pace. This is the fourth big project in Western Uttar Pradesh, the foundation stone of which has been laid or inaugurated. The foundation stone of a big semiconductor company was laid in Noida. It was in the midst of the crisis that the Namo Bharat train gained momentum. Meerut Metro was expanded and Noida International Airport was also inaugurated within a short time. This is a great example of a double engine engine. Making advances in semiconductor technology. Namo Bharat Gati and Airport are connecting North India with the whole world.

UP is becoming a powerful engine of development in the Government of India: Narendra Modi

A plane will fly every two minutes. Earlier, SP people had looted the ATM, but today, under the BJP government, UP is becoming a powerful engine of development. This airport was approved in the files by Atal Bihar Vajpayee government in 2003. The airport was not built. But the Congress and previous governments did not even allow the foundation of this airport to be laid for years. This remained buried in the airport files. When the BJP government was formed at the Centre, the SP government in UP did not allow the foundation to be laid. As soon as the BJP government was formed in UP, the foundation stone of Jewar Airport was laid, construction was done and has also started. This area is also becoming the hub of two freight corridors. Connectivity of North India’s Bengal and Gujarat with the sea has improved. Both the corridors meet each other in Dadri. This means that whatever the farmers grow here, they will be able to send it to every corner of the world. UP is becoming an attraction for the investors of the world.

Expressing gratitude to the farmers who donated land for the airport, he said that a new era of development has started with their contribution. This will give a boost to food processing. The agricultural products here will be able to reach the world markets in a better way. The ethanol produced from sugarcane by farmers has reduced the country’s dependence on crude oil. If there was no production of ethanol, the country would have had to import 45 million barrels of crude oil from abroad every year. The hard work of farmers has given relief to the country. The country benefited from ethanol. Farmers have not only benefited from this, but currency worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore has also been saved.

Airports also give flight to development: Narendra Modi

Airports also give impetus to development. There were 74 airports in the country before 2014. Today there are more than 160 airports in the country. Now apart from the metros, air connectivity is also reaching small towns of the country. The first government believed that air travel should be for the rich, but the BJP government has made it easy for the common citizens. The government should increase the number of airports and the fares should remain within the range of a normal family. 1.60 crore people have traveled under the UDAN scheme. The scheme has been expanded.

About Rs 29 thousand crores have been approved for this. In the coming time, there is a plan to build 100 airports and 200 new helipads in small cities. UP will benefit more from this. India’s aviation center is developing at a fast pace. Due to the construction of new airports in India, there is a need for airplanes. In such a situation, various companies have ordered hundreds of airplanes. Complete arrangements for maintenance, repair and overhaul are also being made. Earlier 85 percent of this had to be sent abroad by ships. Now India will be established as an MRO centre. Namo Bharat train is completing the time of hours in minutes. In the last 11 years, the infrastructure budget has been increased more than six times. In these years, Rs 17 lakh crore has been spent on highways and expressways. More than one lakh kilometers of highways have been constructed.

Noida was left to its fate due to superstition: Narendra Modi

Noida was earlier left to its fate due to superstition. Those in power were afraid to come here for fear of losing their chair. I remember, when BJP government was formed at the Centre, there was SP government in UP. When I got a chance to come, the old CM here did not come because of fear. An attempt was made to scare me also that he had just become the PM. Don’t come here, but I came to seek the blessings of this holy land, which is giving an opportunity to serve for a long time. Now the same area is ready to welcome the whole world. This is fulfilling the resolve of self-reliant India.
