Amidst the ongoing war with Israel and America, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei on Friday (March 20, 2026) congratulated his countrymen and Muslims around the world on Persian New Year (Nowruz) and Eid-ul-Fitr. He said that I congratulate the Muslims of the whole world on Eid.
While giving a message to the people of the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Supreme Leader said that this year the spiritual spring and the spring of nature have come together, which makes both these festivals even more special. This is the time to strengthen unity, patience and faith.
Last year the people of Iran fought three battles: Khamenei
In his address, he said that last year the people of Iran faced three major military and security related challenges, but the people showed courage and determination. He alleged that the enemies tried to spread fear and despair in the country by attacking Iran, but they could not prevail in their intentions. We are fully prepared to fight global arrogance beyond missiles and drone attacks.
Israel accused of creating false conspiracies
Expressing confidence, the Supreme Leader said that unity among the people of Iran will become stronger and those who oppose will have to face embarrassment. He said that Israel is trying to create differences between Iran and its neighboring countries through false conspiracies.
Expressed condolences towards those killed in the war
Along with this, he expressed condolences to the so-called second imposed war, the January coup, the third imposed war and the families of those martyred on the security and border. He said that the country will always remember the sacrifice of these martyrs and the entire country stands in solidarity with their families. In the end, he termed the special combination of Navroz and Eid ul Fitr as a symbol of positive energy and unity for the country.
The enemy was confused during the first war: Khamenei
Mujtaba Khamenei further said that during the first war in June, the enemy had the illusion that the people themselves would oust the Islamic regime from power, but due to the vigilance of the people and the unparalleled bravery of the fighters of Islam, a glimpse of despair began to appear in the enemy and in the end it had to save itself through mediation and ceasefire.
