A major road accident took place in the early morning of Friday (January 9, 2026) in Hayatnagar, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. A private bus coming from Visakhapatnam carrying a film crew went out of control and overturned near Pedda Amberpet flyover. The bus driver, his father and two other crew members have been injured in this tragic accident. Thankfully, there were no casualties despite the speed and condition of the bus at the time of the accident, but the incident has once again sparked debate on the safety of film industry employees and the risks of long distance travel.

According to information received from the police, this incident occurred on Friday morning when the film crew was returning to their base center in Manikonda after completing their shooting in Visakhapatnam. As the bus reached the entry point of Pedda Amberpet flyover, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The uncontrolled bus first hit the divider (median) in the middle of the road and then overturned on the middle of the road. The collision was so severe that the front part of the bus was badly damaged and there was an outcry on the spot.

Identification of persons injured in the accident

The persons injured in the accident have been identified as driver Vijay Bhaskar Reddy and his father Narasi Reddy. Apart from these, an electrician and another crew member on board the bus also suffered injuries. Local people and Hayatnagar police arrived after receiving information and immediately started relief work and admitted the injured to a nearby private hospital. Register the case and start investigation

Hayatnagar police has registered a case in this matter and started investigation. Police officials say that the exact reasons for the accident are being ascertained. In the initial investigation, it is suspected that this accident might have happened due to fog in the morning or due to the driver falling asleep. It is noteworthy that these days due to the festival of Sankranti, the pressure of vehicles on the roads has increased and the police had recently also issued a safety advisory regarding fog.
