The couple had been working for two years
Let us tell you that a couple from Assam state started working in a stone mine in Arasarkulam area two years ago. Mohammad Hussain, 27, from Assam state, living in Tirunelveli, had hired him on contract basis after taking commission from the mine owner.
The accused forcibly took the couple to the forest
Due to lack of adequate infrastructure and low salary, the couple asked to leave the job. After this, both of them decided to work in the state of Kerala and after that the couple was going to Tirunelveli in an auto from Arasarkulam. When Hussain came to know about this, he became angry. He threatened over the phone that he should not leave the job because he had taken commission.
Mohammed Hussain, who asked to discuss the matter, was waiting for the auto to stop in Shivanthipatti area with two young children on a bike. As soon as the auto reached there, they stopped the auto and lied to the driver that the couple was running away after stealing money from the mine owner. After this they forcefully took the couple to a nearby deserted forest.
First beat the husband, then gang-raped the woman.
There, 3 people including Mohammad Hussain indiscriminately attacked the woman’s husband. Then in front of his eyes, the woman was gang-raped. After several hours, the trio abandoned the victimized couple in the forest and fled from there.
In connection with this incident, the victim woman was admitted to the hospital, after which the police registered a case and conducted a thorough investigation. In the investigation, the police immediately arrested 3 people involved in this heinous crime.
