On the complaint of the girl, the all-female police arrested her father under the POCSO Act and sent him to jail. This incident has spread immense shock in the area.

A 14-year-old girl of class 9 living in Mayiladuthurai area recently developed a sudden health problem. Therefore, her mother immediately took the girl to Mayiladuthurai Government Hospital for treatment.
When the doctors treating the girl there examined her, this news came as a shock to the mother. Doctors confirmed that the girl was 6 weeks pregnant. Information about the girl’s pregnancy was immediately given to all the women police and district child protection welfare officers of Mayiladuthurai. On receiving the information, all the women police and child protection welfare officers immediately came and thoroughly interrogated the victim girl.
Atrocities exposed in investigation
When the girl was interrogated in the hospital, it was revealed that the reason for this cruel act was none other than her own father. According to the girl’s statement, her father, who worked in a tea shop. He did this cruel act. It was revealed that after the girl’s mother went to work, he took advantage of the daughter who was alone at home and had inappropriate relations with her. The cruelty of the father who treated his own daughter in such an inhumane manner has created a sensation in the entire area.
Arrest under POCSO Act
On the complaint of the victim girl, Mayiladuthurai all-women police registered a case regarding this incident. Inspector Sangeetha, Sub-Inspector Gayathri and the Mahila Police of Mayiladuthurai Mahila Police Station, keeping in mind the seriousness of the incident, immediately registered a case against the girl’s father under the POCSO Act.
After the case was registered, the police immediately arrested the girl’s father, who raped the girl and made her pregnant. The arrested person was later produced in the court and sent to jail.
