Politics intensified regarding the upcoming visit of Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi to Germany. On Wednesday, BJP criticized Rahul for his foreign trip during the winter session of Parliament. Many BJP MPs including Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Jaiswal and Prahlad Joshi targeted Rahul. BJP has called Rahul the ‘leader of tourism’ and accused him of not doing his job properly due to his frequent foreign trips.
Rahul Gandhi is the ‘Leader of Tourism’
Rahul Gandhi will participate in a program of the Indian Overseas Congress in Berlin from 15 to 20 December. The current winter session is ending on December 19. BJP leader Shehzad Poonawala said, ‘Rahul Gandhi has once again proved that LoP means Leader of Tourism. He is a leader of partying.
Poonawala further said that Rahul Gandhi is a non-serious leader. People are in work mode, their vacation mode is going on. I don’t know why he is going to Germany. Maybe they are going to spew venom against India. They are going abroad for holiday and to defame India.
Rahul Gandhi is a non-serious political leader
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said that Gandhiji spends time abroad during the Parliament session and later says that he does not get a chance to speak. He said, ‘He is a part-time, non-serious political leader.’
Kangana Ranaut said, ‘I do not keep an eye on his travels, nor do I read any news about him. So what can I say about his travels? I don’t want to comment on this kind of character because you know this person has no substance and character.
Congress strongly retaliated against BJP
Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi defended Rahul Gandhi and gave a befitting reply to BJP. He said, ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi spends half of his working time abroad. Then why are questions being raised by the BJP on the foreign trip of the opposition leader?
Deputy Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi said that BJP and the Prime Minister have no answers to Rahul Gandhi’s questions related to alleged election irregularities. He said, ‘When BJP does not have answers to Rahul Gandhi’s questions, then they have no option but to defame him.’
Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) program will be held in Germany
Rahul Gandhi will attend an IOC program to be held in Berlin, the capital of Germany on 17 December. Here he will meet IOC leaders from different countries of Europe. The IOC has described this tour as an important initiative towards strengthening the party’s global dialogue.
