Hyderabad Police Commissionerate launched a massive search operation named ‘Operation Kavach’ from 10:30 pm on Saturday (December 5, 2025) in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, with the aim of further strengthening the law and order in the city and curbing the criminals.
This operation is the first of its kind in the history of Hyderabad Police, in which more than 5,000 policemen have been deployed simultaneously, carrying out strict checking at 150 important places in the city.
Police Commissioner took to the streets to strengthen law and order
This huge search operation was led by Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Sajjanar himself. Apart from Law and Order, Traffic and Task Force, Armed Reserve, Blue Coats and Patrolling teams have also participated enthusiastically in this. This is a coordinated effort, the objective of which is to create an environment of security in every corner of the city and stop suspicious activities.
Police checked vehicles on major roads
Under the campaign, intensive blockade was done at major intersections, hotels, lodges, bus stands and railway stations. Police teams closely checked two-wheelers and four-wheelers, interrogated suspicious persons and checked their documents. Special attention was kept on those people who had criminal records or who were trying to mislead the police with fake documents.
Police Commissioner appealed to the people of the city
Police Commissioner C.V. Sajjanar has appealed to the city residents to fully cooperate with the police in this security operation. He said, “This campaign is for your safety. If you see any suspicious activity or person, then without hesitation immediately inform on dial 100.”
Through this campaign, the message of the police is clear that crime will not be given any place in the city and the safety of citizens is the top priority.
