Due to technical glitches, there is a situation of huge disturbance in Indigo Airlines flights at Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad since Tuesday (December 2, 2025) night. Many flights going to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi have been affected, due to which about 1000 passengers are stranded at the airport since last night.
Specifically, the flight scheduled for Bengaluru at 2 am on Tuesday-Wednesday was held up on the runway for two hours. After this, in view of the increasing anxiety among the passengers, they were deboarded from the plane and asked to wait in the airport terminal itself.
The biggest problem among passengers is those who had to catch connecting flights going abroad or who were traveling to different cities for visa interviews. Indigo employees at the airport are not able to give satisfactory answers to the passengers’ questions, due to which the situation has become more tense.
Passenger shared his problems
An affected passenger said, “We are not being given any clear information. Neither are we being told when the plane will take off nor what is the reason for this delay. No arrangements for food and drinks have been made for us either.”
Airline spokesperson gave statement
An Indigo Airlines spokesperson said, “We are experiencing technical issues and are trying to resolve it as soon as possible. We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers and are trying to provide them all possible assistance.”
