UIDAI has released Aadhaar authentication data for November 2025. This time the record is bigger than before. There were 231 crore authentications in just one month, which is 8.47% more than November last year. This is the largest monthly figure of this financial year, but it is the most important part of this data. Face authentication simply means that you show your face to the phone’s camera, and the system recognizes that it is you. It requires neither OTP, nor fingerprint, nor any device, nor machine. Only the camera will recognize your face live.
Service runs on the basis of AI
This facility of UIDAI runs on AI (Artificial Intelligence). AI looks at the live movement, angle, light and features of your face to determine whether it is a real face and matches the base data or not. The government says that this is the reason why this method has become the easiest for the elderly, pensioners and people living in remote areas.
What are the figures for 2025?
In November 2025, identity was verified 28.29 crore times through face authentication, whereas last year this number was only 12.04 crore. This means that the use of face authentication has more than doubled in this one year.
60% pensioners got verification done
The special thing is that about 60% of the pensioners got their digital life certificate made only with their face. Neither went to the bank nor had to put a finger on the machine, just showed the face in the mobile camera and the work was completed.
47.19 crore identity verifications were done through Aadhaar based e-KYC in November. This is 24% more than last year. It has now become the fastest means of identification in banks, insurance, loans and many digital services.
