BJP National President JP Nadda, remembering Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, said that Sardar had an important contribution in creating the great India that we are talking about today. It was Sardar Patel who made a map of India.
Addressing the Sardar Sabha organized at Baps Mandir in Vadodara, Gujarat on Saturday (November 29, 2025) on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Union Health Minister JP Nadda said that after the independence of India, the last four generations and our generation as well as many generations to come will remember Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He had made an incomparable contribution in making India a better India.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a national man – JP Nadda
JP Nadda said, “When we all talk about Sardar Patel, we should keep in mind that he was our national hero, but the most important thing is that he was a national man and as a national man, he worked to implement the vision of our ancient country within 2 years.

Patel sacrificed his personal life on Gandhiji’s call – Nadda
Union Health Minister JP Nadda said, “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was in constant effort in his life to search for the truth and support the truth. He was a distinguished barrister of Ahmedabad, he studied in London, was a good student, but on the call of Mahatma Gandhi, he left his personal life and started living the life of the nation.”
Patel agitated for the rights of farmers
Nadda said, “Whether it was the Satyagraha of Kheda or the Satyagraha of Bardoli, through both the movements, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel stood against the injustice being done to the farmers and the British rule for the rights of the farmers.”
