According to ED, the entire amount of money which was to be released to 95 genuine pensioners was taken into his possession by Satish Kumar and the total amount was Rs 1 crore 68 lakh 66 thousand 371. Investigation revealed that Satish Kumar bought a plot in Mohali with the scam money, constructed a house on it and tried to make this money appear clean and legitimate. That is, this money was invested in property and presented as legitimate income.

After the charge sheet was filed, the special court pronounced the sentence.

The charge sheet in this case was filed on May 31, 2023. After this, the special court of Nahan declared Satish Kumar guilty and sentence was pronounced against him. ED says that the current price of the property in the market is approximately Rs 1 crore 84 lakh 91 thousand 651, hence the entire illegal earning of Rs 1.68 crore has been confiscated in the form of property.
