A case of major robbery has come to light in Bidar, Karnataka. This incident happened on the National Highway (NH-65). Here a masked gang attacked a family and looted lakhs of rupees. During this, the accused committed the crime by bursting the tire of the car.
According to the information, a family was going from Sangli, Maharashtra to Hyderabad to attend a wedding. Then masked miscreants carried out the entire robbery incident near Sastapur village on NH-65. During this, the accused threw an iron rod on the road. Due to this the tire of the car burst and the vehicle stopped.
223 grams of gold, Rs 1.60 lakh cash looted
After some time, 6 to 8 attackers reached near the car with weapons. The miscreants had knives and sticks. They threatened all the passengers of the family in the car and looted 223 grams of gold jewelery and cash. The price of gold jewelery is said to be Rs 22.3 lakh. At the same time, cash worth about Rs 1.6 lakh was looted. Overall, property worth Rs 23.9 lakh has been looted.
Robbers were talking in Hindi and Marathi: Victim
Praveen Jarag of the victim’s family, whose age is said to be 38 years, said that the attackers were talking in Hindi and Marathi. His age was approximately between 20-30 years. Three women and two men were present in the car at the time of the incident. All of them were going to attend a wedding.
In this entire matter, Basavakalyan Nagar Police has registered a case under the sections of BNS. Police have registered a case under sections 310 and 311 and started investigation. Police has started searching for the accused.
