A Delhi court on Wednesday sent Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and accused of the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, to 11-day NIA custody. NIA lawyer Rahul Tyagi said that the accused will be produced again in the court after the completion of NIA custody.

He said, “Anmol Bishnoi is a very important member of the terrorist-gangster syndicate. He has some very important information. NIA had requested to send Anmol to the agency’s custody on the basis of ascertaining the modus operandi of the syndicate, sources of money, involvement of other people and the activities of the syndicate. “We are trying to find out how he fled India.”
Khalistan movement gang member
Rahul Tyagi told, “In the FIR, Lawrence Bishnoi gang has started working in collaboration with Babbar Khalsa international gang. Babbar Khalsa was trying to revive the Khalistan movement and they (Bishnoi gang) were helping them in this. Many such aspects are being investigated.
He said, “Anmol Bishnoi is an important member of this terrorist-gangster syndicate. He is the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi. He had fled abroad. We believe he was coordinating the activities of this syndicate. All of them will be interrogated. We have already filed a charge sheet under sections 17, 18, 18A, 120B and other sections of UAPA and extortion.”

What did Anmol Bishnoi’s lawyer say?
Arrested gangster Anmol Bishnoi’s lawyer Rajni said, “We have always cooperated in the investigation. Today we have also said in the court that we will cooperate in the investigation and are ready to join it. We will give every possible cooperation in the investigation. The allegation of NIA is the same that there is criminal conspiracy. Involvement in terrorist activity which is only an allegation. They do not have any evidence of this kind. The basis of the allegations is in the charge sheet which was filed earlier. Anmol Bishnoi was declared a fugitive.”
He said, “Now when Anmol Bishnoi was arrested, a demand for custody was made. How will we get evidence for something that does not exist? We have demanded some security measures from the court. The court has directed the NIA to follow those guidelines. The NIA has also accepted that they will follow all the guidelines.”
