A sensational incident of robbery worth crores of rupees has come to light in broad daylight on Wednesday (November 19, 2025) in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Robbers have looted Rs 5 crore from an ATM cash refilling vehicle of CMS company on the middle road near Ashoka Pillar in Bengaluru city.
According to the information received regarding the incident, the ATM cash refilling van of CMS company was carrying cash from JP Nagar branch of HDFC Bank. Then the robbers who came in a white Innova car near Ashoka Pillar blocked the path of the cash van. The accused told the security personnel sitting in the cash van that they were Central Tax officers and they had to check the documents.
The accused ran away leaving the security personnel posted in the cash van on the middle of the road.
After this, the accused took away the cash kept in the van and the employees of the van in their Innova car. After this, the accused left the employees in the middle of the road near Dairy Circle in Bengaluru and fled with the money. According to estimates, the robbers escaped with cash worth more than Rs 5 crore kept in the cash van.
Police blockade after robbery incident
When Bengaluru Police received information about a huge robbery worth Rs 5 crore. Then the South Division Police has cordoned off the entire area and has also formed several special teams to search for the accused involved in the robbery. Apart from this, Bengaluru Police has so far examined more than 50 CCTV footage as part of its investigation into the case.
Along with this, the police has increased surveillance in the areas around Hosur and Kolar toll gates between Bengaluru-Chennai. During the investigation so far, the police has also released many important clues related to the van staff and the accused. At the same time, investigation is going on rapidly in this matter.
