The ‘vote theft’ issue of Rahul Gandhi and the Grand Alliance has proved to be a flop in the Bihar Assembly elections. Instead of voting on the slogans of Congress-RJD, the people of the state have supported Nitish Kumar’s plans and BJP’s development journey. Now Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has issued a statement on Congress’s defeat in Bihar. In this he has said that just as we welcomed Rahul Gandhi in Bihar, similarly we welcome him in Assam also. He is our “Star Campaigner”.

While posting on social media, Assam Chief Minister wrote, Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Bihar Under the guidance and leadership of Honorable Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar Ji, we are witnessing a beautiful period of development and trust. This victory of NDA in the Assembly makes it clear that the people of the state have unwavering faith in our double engine government.

Vote theft slogan not used
The main attraction of the RJD-Congress campaign was Rahul Gandhi’s ‘vote theft’ slogan. Rahul Gandhi’s Bihar election campaign focused on ‘vote theft’. He covered about 116 assembly seats through tours and election campaigns across the state. However, on the day of results, Congress won only 3 seats, while maintaining lead on three.
Let us tell you, the Congress Party, which won 239 seats in Bihar for the first time in 1952, was reduced to only four 15 years ago. In 2010, it got the least number of seats in Bihar for the first time. However, this record of Congress may be broken in this election. If the Election Commission data till 4 pm is converted into results, then it will be the biggest defeat of Congress in Bihar politics till date.
Not only this, the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections have also been included in Rahul Gandhi’s losing record. In the last two decades, the oldest party has faced 95 defeats.
This time, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya sarcastically says, “If there was an award for electoral consistency, he (Rahul Gandhi) would have trumped all others. At this rate, even failures would be wondering how he gets them with such credibility.”
