‘There are two types of terrorists…’, know why Congress leader Chidambaram said this on Delhi blast

Regarding the terrorist attack near the Red Fort in Delhi, former Home Minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram has once again given a statement regarding terrorism growing within the country. The Congress leader said that India is facing two types of terrorists and when he raised this issue in Parliament, he was ridiculed.

‘There are two types of terrorists’

Congress leader P Chidambaram posted on X and wrote, “I have said the same thing before and after the Pahalgam terror attack that there are two types of terrorists. Terrorists who are infiltrators from abroad and terrorists who are home-grown. I had also said the same during the debate on Operation Sindoor in Parliament. I was mocked and trolled in the context of home-grown terrorists.”

He said, “I would definitely like to say that the government has maintained silence on this because the government knows that there are terrorists who grow up in the country. The purpose of this tweet is that we should ask ourselves what are the circumstances that turn Indian citizens, even educated people, into terrorists.”

Instructions for strict action regarding Delhi blast

P Chidambaram’s statement has come at a time when a CCS meeting was called under the leadership of PM Modi on Wednesday (12 November 2024) and instructions were given to take strict action regarding the Delhi terrorist blast. The resolutions passed by the Cabinet said that the country has witnessed a heinous terrorist incident carried out by anti-national forces near the Red Fort on Monday. Many people died and many others were injured in this explosion. The Cabinet reiterated India’s unwavering commitment to a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
