Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday (November 6, 2025) Telangana Chief Minister A. Criticized the Congress Party for Revanth Reddy’s statement that ‘Congress means Muslims’. BJP said that the opposition party has openly accepted that it is a Jinnahite and puts Shariat above the Constitution.
Earlier, Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy had recently opposed the inclusion of former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin in the state Council of Ministers in Telangana.

BJP retaliated on CM Revanth Reddy’s statement
Attacking Chief Minister Reddy’s remarks, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said, ‘Revanth Reddy has openly admitted what we have known for a long time. This is not INC (Indian National Congress), this is JWC i.e. Jinnahist Congress. He said, ‘Today this has been openly accepted.’
Poonawala alleged that because of this mentality, Congress has been repeatedly saying that Muslims first, Sharia first, Vote Bank first, and not Constitution first and India first.

BJP spokesperson said, ‘This is the real face of Congress. She is actually just serving her vote bank. She puts vote bank and Sharia above the Constitution. He said, ‘This is the mentality due to which Congress wants to give to its favorite vote bank by cutting the reservation of OBC, SC, ST. He has done this in Karnataka and Telangana.
