The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken major action in the murder of Jan Suraj Party worker in Mokama amid the election campaign for Bihar Assembly. The Election Commission has called for a report on this murder from Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar on Friday (October 31, 2025). In fact, during the assembly election campaign in Mokama, an incident of firing took place between the two parties on Thursday (October 30, 2025). In this firing, party worker and muscleman Dularchand Yadav, who was campaigning in support of Jan Suraj Party candidate Piyush Priyadarshi, was killed.
Rural SP gave statement regarding the murder
Patna Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikram Sihag has given a statement on Friday (October 31, 2025) regarding the murder of Jan Suraj Party worker and muscleman Dularchand Yadav. He said, ‘The names of five people are included in the first FIR registered regarding this murder. JDU candidate and former MLA Anant Singh has been made an accused in this. He said, ‘The post-mortem of Dularchand Yadav has just been done, the doctor will submit the report by tomorrow, only then the entire situation will be clear.’ Whereas, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Suraj Bhan has been accused of having a hand in the murder of JDU candidate Anant Singh Dularchand Yadav.

Tense situation visible in Mokama after the massacre
The murder of Jan Suraj Party worker Dularchand Yadav amid the assembly election campaign has created a stir in political circles. Along with this, there is a situation of tension in Maukama. At the same time, during the funeral procession of Dularchand Yadav, there was also an incident of stone pelting on the car of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate and Bahubali Suraj Bhan’s wife. Surajbhan’s wife’s car has been damaged due to stone pelting. After which RJD candidates Surajbhan and Veena Devi demanded intervention of the Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding this matter.
