BJP harassed innocent citizens

Banerjee said in the post, ‘I am shaken to the core thinking how the BJP has harassed innocent citizens over the years due to the fear of NRC, spread lies, created panic and weaponized insecurity for votes.’ He accused the BJP of turning “constitutional democracy into a theater of fear” and said the “tragic death was the result of poisonous propaganda”.

The Chief Minister said, ‘They have turned constitutional democracy into a theater of fear, where people are being forced to doubt their very right to exist. This tragic death is a direct result of BJP’s poisonous propaganda. Those who preach nationalism while sitting in Delhi have pushed common Indians into such despair that they are dying on their own soil out of fear that they will be declared ‘foreigners’.

Demanding the Center to end this ‘heartless game’, Mamata Banerjee reiterated that Bengal will ‘never allow NRC’ and will protect the dignity and rights of its people.
