Baloch leader Mir Yaar reacted
While on one hand the people of Pakistan are angry with this comment of Salman Khan, on the other hand the separatist leaders of Balochistan are happy with Salman and are thanking him. However, it is not yet clear whether actor Salman Khan deliberately took the name of Balochistan apart from Pakistan or just said it.
Regarding Salman Khan’s comment, Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch, who demanded making Balochistan an independent country separate from Pakistan, said, ‘Indian film industry veteran Salman Khan’s mention of Balochistan in Saudi Arabia has brought happiness to 6 crore Baloch citizens.’
Balochistan got separate identity
In a statement given to The Print, Baloch leader Mir Yar said, ‘Balochistan has been mentioned in Indian films before, but this moment is different. This has not been said in any film, but on the soil of Saudi Arabia. Salman Khan affirmed the growing bond between Baloch and Indian people. In a way, it is like giving us identity.
Mir Yar further said, ‘He has done that in which even many big countries hesitate. We believe that such gestures of cultural recognition are powerful tools of soft diplomacy that connect hearts. This inspires the world to recognize Balochistan as a separate nation.
