Now strong action has been taken by the police in the murder case of police constable E. Pramod in Nizamabad district of Telangana. Rowdy sheeter Sheikh Riyaz, the main accused in the murder of a constable, has been killed in an encounter by the police.
Telangana Police had arrested the accused Riyaz in an injured condition on Sunday (October 19, 2025) and today on Monday, the police was taking him to the hospital for treatment. During this, Riyaz tried to escape from the police custody and he snatched the police officer’s gun and opened fire. The same police took action and killed Riyaz in an encounter.
Riyaz attacked constable Pramod with a sword
In fact, on October 17 at around 8:30 pm, 42-year-old constable E. Pramod of Nizamabad Police was taking the accused Riyaz to the police station on a bike. In Vinayak Nagar area, Riyaz suddenly attacked constable Pramod with a sword and fatally stabbed him in the chest, due to which the injured constable died. Apart from this, his colleague constable Vitthal was also injured in Riyaz’s attack.
Killed while running away after firing at police officer
Riyaz had fled from the spot after killing Constable E. Pramod and the police had started searching for him by blocking the entire district. According to the police, Riyaz was a habitual criminal and several cases were already registered against him. He had in a way challenged the entire district administration by attacking the police while being taken to the police station, after which the police insisted on arresting him as soon as possible. Riyaz was killed in an encounter while trying to escape after firing at a police officer.
