‘BJP on DRDO’s years of hard work…’, TMC leader Kakoli Dastidar said on BrahMos missiles


Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kaloli Ghosh Dastidar on Sunday (October 19, 2025) praised the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for its years-long work on BrahMos missiles. Along with this, he has also targeted the BJP led central government. Kakoli Dastidar has criticized BJP for taking credit for the achievement of BrahMos missiles. Apart from this, regarding Operation Sindoor, he said that the credit for the success of Operation Sindoor should go to the soldiers and not to the ruling party.

While countering the statement given by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Dastidar said, ‘Such success is not achieved in a day. DRDO scientists have been working on this for many years. Therefore, the credit for this should go to him and our soldiers instead of BJP.

What did Defense Minister Rajnath Singh say about BrahMos missile?,

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday (October 18, 2025) described the launch of the first batch of domestically made BrahMos missiles at the Aerospace Center in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, as India’s growing confidence and capability. Flagging off the first batch of BrahMos missiles, he said in his address at the ceremony, ‘The Lucknow-based production facility will develop 100 BrahMos missiles, which have become the backbone of the Indian Armed Forces. After manufacturing, the missiles will be supplied to the Indian Army and Indian Navy.

Describing the role of BrahMos missiles during Operation Sindoor in Lucknow, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had said, ‘This BrahMos missile has shown that it has gone far beyond its testing and has become the biggest practical proof of the nation’s security.’ Emphasizing this, he said, ‘BrahMos missile has reach to every end of the land of our neighboring country Pakistan.’
