Accused fled to India after killing wife in UAE, CBI arrested from Hyderabad after 12 years


In Hyderabad, CBI has arrested 52-year-old Sattar Khan, who was absconding for the last 12 years in the case of murder of his wife. Sattar Khan is accused of killing his wife in UAE in 2013 and then fled to India.

According to CBI, investigation into this case was started in India in April 2022 on the request of UAE agencies. At that time it was revealed that Sattar Khan, who worked as a driver there, had murdered his wife on 14 November 2013. After the incident, he fled from the spot and came to India and since then the police was searching for him.

Secret revealed after lookout notice

CBI had issued a Lookout Notice (LOC) against him, but he continued to evade. During investigation it was revealed that Sattar Khan had also got a second passport made. After this information, CBI opened a new LOC on that passport also and on the basis of technical information, traced it to Rangareddy area of ​​Telangana.

The accused was trying to escape to Doha

The CBI team was continuously searching for him there. When Sattar Khan realized that the agency was after him, he was trying to escape from Hyderabad airport to Doha, but the CBI team arrested him on the spot. After his arrest, Sattar Khan was produced in Hyderabad court, from where he is being brought to Delhi on transit remand. CBI said that further investigation of the case is going on.
