The 16th edition of International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) 2025, Asia’s largest railway equipment exhibition, will be held from 15 to 17 October at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Many major companies from India and abroad will participate in this three-day exhibition.
This exhibition is being organized with the joint cooperation of Indian Railways and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). This time the specialty of IREE 2025 is that it is Asia’s largest and the world’s second largest railway equipment exhibition in history, where the modern achievements of Indian Railways, green technologies and the country’s production capabilities under the Make in India initiative will be showcased.
Helpful for modern changes taking place in railway sector
Leading companies from many developed countries including India like America, Russia, Britain, China will also participate in this exhibition. Dilip Kumar, Executive Director (Information and Publicity), Ministry of Railways, said that IREE 2025 will be a great opportunity to showcase the achievements and future direction of Indian Railways. This event will help in giving international recognition to the modern changes taking place in our railway sector.
Sitaram Sinku, Additional Member, Railway Ministry, said that Indian Railways is working rapidly on the modernization of its coaches, stations, signaling system, and telecommunication. He said that the exhibition will also showcase the efforts being made by Railways towards its goal of becoming a net zero carbon emitter by 2030.
Symbol of Make in India and self-reliant India
CII Trade Fair Council Chairman B. Thiagarajan said that this event is an excellent platform for cooperation and dialogue between Railways and equipment manufacturers. Narayan Sethuraman, MD, Sanmar Matrix Metals Limited, described Indian Railways as an embodiment of the spirit of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Self-reliant India’, while Puneet Kaura, MD, Samtel Axonics Limited, described IREE as an example of collaboration between industry and government.

Let us tell you that this time there will be a special focus on topics like AI, IoT, green solutions and MSME participation in the IREE 2025 exhibition. Apart from this, many different types of sessions will also be organized to promote global partnerships and business opportunities, in which senior railway officials themselves will be present.
