Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday (September 30, 2025), citing the death of a ex -serviceman in the violence in Ladakh, alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had cheated the people of this union territory. He also said that the Prime Minister should close the politics of violence and fear and communicate and there should be a judicial inquiry into the incident of firing on the protesters.
Tsevang Tharchin, an ex -soldier who participated in the Kargil war in the violence on September 24, was also killed. Rahul Gandhi shared a video of Tharchin’s father on ‘X’. Rahul Gandhi posted, ‘Father Fauji, son also a military, whose patriotism is settled in the blood. Nevertheless, the BJP government shot and killed the brave son of the country, just because he stood for Ladakh and his right.
Demand for fair investigation from Congress government
The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha said, ‘Father’s pain -filled eyes are just asking a question whether this is the sila of service today? Our demand is that these murders in Ladakh should be investigated fair judicial inquiry and the culprits should be punished severely. Modi ji, you have cheated the people of Ladakh. They are asking for their rights, communicate, stop politics of violence and fear.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge posted on ‘X’, ‘Ladakh’s grief is the grief of the whole country. Shaheed Tsevang Tharchen performed his duty towards Mother India in the Kargil war. ‘PM Modi’s China Clean Chit’ after LAC dispute
Kharge claimed, ‘When our 20 brave soldiers in the Galwan had sacrificed their lives for the country on the LAC of Ladakh, Modi himself handed over a clean chit to China. Then they do not remember the valor of our brave people, so what will come now. Those who can give a clean chit to China, what will they keep the value of the martyrdom of brave soldiers like Tharchin. This is the hollow nationalism of the BJP.
Experts were called by ‘Leh Apex Body’ (LAB) to pursue the conversation with the Center. Curfew was imposed in Leh city on 24 September after a violent clash between security forces and protesters during the Ladakh bandh. Four people were killed in violence. This organization is leading the movement for Ladakh to include state status and union territory in the sixth schedule.
