The e-bus flash will be equipped with charging technology. (Symbolic picture)Gadkari said that this 135 seater bus operating with flash charging technology will contain an airplane -like seating. The bus will have bus hostesses on the lines of air conditioning, comfortable seats and airhostess, which will serve tea, coffee, fruits, packed foods and beverages to the passengers. The special thing is that this bus being developed together with the Tata Group will be equipped with all modern facilities, yet its fare will be 30% less than diesel -powered buses. The cost of running these buses has been estimated at around ₹ 35-40 per kilometer.
Charge will be in 40 seconds
The bus will have flash charging technology. Due to this, after completing the 40 km journey, the bus will stop at one stop and will be charged for the next 40 kilometers in just 40 seconds. Gadkari said, “It will bring revolutionary changes in our transport system. People will not use their car to go from Delhi to Jaipur, Chandigarh or Dehradun.”
