Car collides with a car in Kolkata’s Salt Lake area, alive burnt food delivery boy

A terrible accident occurred on Wednesday (August 13, 2025) in the Salt Lake area of Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. In this accident, a 22 -year -old food delivery boy died in a scorching fire. The Kolkata police said that the accident occurred near a bridge connecting Salt Lake and VIP Road near Kestopur in the capital Kolkata, when a car that caught fire collided with his bike after a collision.

Deputy Police Commissioner gave information about accident

Bidhannagar Police Deputy Commissioner Anish Sarkar said, “The bridge collided between two cars. One of them was at a high speed, which uncontrollably collided with a lamp post and pavement railing and caught fire. At the same time, the food delivery boy’s two-wheeler also hit the railing and his clothes got stuck in the iron railing.”

He said, “Three people in cars and a pedestrians were injured during this period. The police identified the delivery agent as 22 -year -old Suman Mandal, resident of Hiranayampur in South Pargana. After the collision, the delivery agent could not escape the fire due to the pant being stuck in the pant railing.

Local people accused the police of taking late action

In this case, many local people and eyewitnesses have accused the police of taking late action. People claimed that the rescue work of accidents was interrupted in the busy traffic area. An eyewitness said, “He (the delivery agent) was hanging upside down from the railing and his clothes were stranded. He died in front of us in the fire.”

At the same time, some other people said that the police were recording video of the burning vehicles instead of starting the rescue work quickly. While the police said that the mob was throwing stones at emergency vehicles, so the fire brigade vehicles were delayed in reaching the spot.
