E20 petrol will not reduce mileage, no engine will deteriorate, Maruti is bringing special kit

New Delhi. The government is promoting 20 percent of Ethanol mixed petrol in the country. However, the vehicle owners are hesitant to adopt it. The news of the mileage of the vehicles from E20 petrol and the malfunction of the vehicle has increased their concern. Vehicle manufacturers are also maintained only on model-specific fuel recommendations regarding warranty. Now Maruti Suzuki can issue an E20 kit for its old vehicles, so that 10 to 15 years old vehicles will also be able to run without any trouble with E20 petrol.

A report by Autocar India quoted sources as saying that Maruti Suzuki can offer E20 material upgrade kits for its old models. This kit can be available for vehicles up to 10 to 15 years old. The price of these kits is likely to be between ₹ 4,000 to ₹ 6,000. The price of the kit will depend on the model of the vehicle. It is not yet clear whether the subsidy will be given on this kit or not and if it is received, then who will give it. Other automobile companies are also preparing to bring similar upgrade programs.

These parts will be replaced

Technically it is possible to make vehicles favorable to E20 fuel. For this, fuel lines, seals and gaskets like metal, rubber and plastic plates have to be replaced. Apart from this, re-tuning of the engine will also have to be done. Keeping this in mind, companies are engaged in the manufacture of E20 kits, which can also make old vehicles also compatible.
