Russia’s big claim before Trump-Putin Summit, two new areas of Ukraine occupied

On Thursday (August 14, 2025) before the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday (August 15, 2025), Russia claimed that it had captured 2 new areas in East Ukraine.

Giving information, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the Army has taken its authority over Iskra village and Schucherbinivka located in the Donnetsk region of Ukraine. Let us know that in the last few days, the Russian army has taken its lead in the areas of Ukraine.

Schucherbinivka, who was occupied in Ukraine, is near Toratsk, the mining city, which was captured by the Russian army in February itself. At the same time, one of the last major cities of the Donnetsk region, Costiantinivka still has the right to Ukraine.

Ukrainian drone attack injured 13 people in Russia

Regional Governor of Southern Russia Yuri Sliusar said in a post that 13 people, including two children, were injured in Ukraine’s drone attack on Thursday and about 10 buildings were damaged in Rostov-on-Don. At the same time, the Russian army has claimed that it has killed 268 Ukrainian drones and four glide bombs in 24 hours.

The Ukrainian Air Force claims that Russia fired 2 missiles and 45 drones in Ukrainian areas overnight. Local authorities say that two people in the northern curve area and one in Kherason region have been injured in these attacks.
