Vantara is overwhelmed to see the tireless religious sentiments of the Jain monastery and the people of Kolhapur about Hathini Madhuri. Vantara, while presenting her side in this matter, said that Madhuri has been a part of the spiritual traditions and community of Kolhapur for many decades. We all devotees, the leadership of the Jain monastery and the sentiments of the entire community, who have expressed concern about the presence of Madhuri in Kolhapur.
Vantara, while presenting his side, said that if the court allows, we can make a rehabilitation center for Madhuri in Kolhapur with Jain monastery and government officials. We have to end the opposition and come together for Madhuri. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court to transfer Hathini Madhuri from Kolhapur in Maharashtra to Jamnagar, Gujarat, which is to be heard on 11 August.
Steps taken due to court order
Vantara has made it clear that in this case he has fully followed the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and the Bombay High Court. Apart from this, no one has been interfered. The decision to take Madhuri to another place was on the court’s order. In this case, Vantara was given the responsibility of taking care of Madhuri, veterinary assistance and living space, which we are fulfilling. Vantara never took the initiative to take Madhuri to another place. Apart from this, there was no intention of interfering in religious sentiments or practices.
