Different reactions are coming from within the Congress party on US President Donald Trump’s Indian economy on dead economy. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor dismissed Trump’s comment and said that it is not so. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha has supported the statement of opposition Rahul Gandhi Trump.
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said on Trump’s dead economy statement, “We all know this.” In the Parliament House complex, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that he agrees with the statement of the US President. He said that I am glad that President Trump kept the fact in front of everyone.
Congress MP Karti Chidambaram also called Trump an unconventional politician on Friday, keeping a different opinion from Rahul Gandhi’s comment. He said, “India and America are big economies that need each other. There are mutual relations between our people. The tough rhetoric made by the US President will not derail these relationships in the long run.”
Karti Chidambaram said, “US President Trump is an unconventional leader and we should let him remain the same as they are. All these are in the beginning phase of the conversation and we should not panic. I hope the government will interact with patience and deal with America.”
After announcing a 25 per cent tariff on imports from India, Trump said, “India and Russia can take their dead economy into the trough together. I don’t care what India does with Russia.”
