In the Lok Sabha, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said in his speech on Tuesday (July 29, 2025) that even 50 percent of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has courage like former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, he should say that US President Donald Trump is lying about the ceasefire between Indo-Pak and Indian jets have not fallen.
Speaking during the discussion on ‘Operation Sindoor’ in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi said that Donald Trump has so far claimed that he has made a ceasefire. Target about Rajnath Singh’s speech
Citing the speech given by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Parliament on Monday, he said that it only shows that there is a lack of political will in the Modi government. He asked why the Modi government would tell the Government of Pakistan in less than half an hour of starting operation vermilion that it did not attack its military bases and does not want to increase the struggle further.
He asked why the military forces and the Indian Air Force were asked not to attack Pakistan’s military structure and air defense system? He said that no operational freedom was given to the Indian armed forces, because there was a lack of political will in the government. He insisted that in such a time, it is dangerous for the country to use the army to save his image by the Prime Minister. Military forces should be used only in the national interest.
Attack on PM Modi by referring to Indira Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi also retaliated when Defense Minister Rajnath Singh compared 1971 war and operation vermilion. He reminded that there was political will in 1971. The seventh fleet of America was coming, but the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi gave full exemption to the army. After this, one lakh Pakistani soldiers surrendered and became Bangladesh.
Questions should also be raised on foreign policy
Rahul Gandhi also questioned the foreign policy of the Modi government and said that the Pahalgam terror attack was planned by the Pakistan government. Despite this, no country in the world condemned Pakistan. He also reminded that the mastermind of the Pahalgam terror attack and Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir was invited by President Donald Trump on food at the White House. He called it a major diplomatic failure of the Modi government.
Regarding alliances between Pakistan and China, Rahul Gandhi said that the military forces of India fought not alone with Pakistan, but the forces of both Pakistan and China. He reminded the House that he had warned about the Pakistan-China alliance a few months ago, but was not taken seriously.
