‘Modi is the Defender of India, AAP who surrenders’, Tejashwi Surya spoke in Parliament on Operation Sindoor

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejashwi Surya dismissed the allegation of ‘surrender’ on Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha on Monday (July 28, 2025), saying that Prime Minister is ‘Defender of India’ (protector of India).

Participating in a special discussion on Operation Sindoor in the lower house of Parliament, he also said that India now under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi enters and kills the house. Surya said, ‘Opposition is questioning Prime Minister Modi’s foreign policy. The Leader of Opposition repeatedly speaks of ‘surrender’ about the Prime Minister. Modi ji is ‘Defender of India’, you are the people who surrendered.

Every important country with India

Surya said that Operation Sindoor was a message that no terrorist attacking in India would be safe. He said that every important country stood with India, it is a proof of India’s diplomatic strength. He said, “We are ready to win diplomatic and military fronts together.” The BJP MP claimed that the Congress is the only party in the whole world, which deliberately abolished the anti -terrorism law ‘POTA’.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) member Shambhavi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only wiped the tears of women who saw their families losing their families in the Pahalgam attack from Operation Sindoor, but also honored them. He said, ‘This is a new India, which does not burn a candle when terrorists are killed, but burns their pyre.’

The then Defense Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram mention

Referring to the speech of Congress MP Deepender Hooda, Shambhavi said that people from the opposition party only take the name of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for the 1971 (India-Pakistan) war, but sometimes the then Defense Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram does not give credit for the victory of the war that Bangladesh called the ‘hero of war’.

Reversal from Congress

Participating in the discussion, Congress MP Pratiti Shinde alleged that Prime Minister Modi always stays in ‘election mode’, hence he held a public meeting in Bihar after the Pahalgam attack. He alleged that the ceasefire was conducted under the pressure of America.

Shinde said, ‘The Prime Minister says that Operation Sindoor should be celebrated. Should we celebrate the fall of the aircraft? Should it be celebrated to hold a ceasefire on behalf of another country? The Congress MP said that everything should not be made ‘event’.
