During the monsoon session of Parliament, when the opposition questioned the strategy, purpose and results of ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Defense Minister responded with full clarity, resolution and confidence. At the beginning of his address, he not only saluted the courage of the armies of India, but also paid tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the unity, integrity and safety of the citizens.
He said, “If you want to ask any question, then ask whether Operation Sindoor erased the masters of the terrorists who had erased the vermilion of our sisters and daughters?” Then the Defense Minister stopped and said, “Answer- yes”
‘Operation Sindoor’s aim was clear’, said Defense Minister
The Defense Minister said that Operation Sindoor was not just a counter attack, it was a clear strategic-monetary message from India. Its aim was to punish Pakistan for a strong punishment for its antics fighting the proxy war through terrorism.
He said, “Our forces were given complete freedom to choose their goals themselves and take decisive action. The aim was not to bow the enemy with the performance of Shakti, not the war.”
The Defense Minister further said, “On the morning of May 10, the Indian Air Force targeted many airbase of Pakistan. After this, Pakistan offered to stop the struggle, which India clarified that this operation has been stopped, not closed. Pakistan’s DGMO appealed to stop military action by contacting DGMO of India. On May 12, a formal interaction was held between the military officials of the two countries and a limited battlefield was held on 12 May.”
“Our soldiers became an example of morale”
The Defense Minister told the House that he himself visited the Military Base of Srinagar, the airbase of Bhuj and the command center of Udhampur. He said, “Everywhere I saw that our soldiers have confidence in their eyes, there is resolution in their mind, and there is unwavering dedication for the motherland within them.” He said that 140 crore countrymen felt the bravery of the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor.
