On the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar, RJD MP Manoj Jha’s taunt, said- he will open himself ‘rule’ of resignation

Rajya Sabha MP and RJD leader Manoj Jha has raised serious questions about the resignation of former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. He posted on X (East Twitter) and wrote that many members of the House were uncomfortable with the working style of Dhankhar and this was also raised in the House many times.

Manoj Jha, however, also admitted that the nature of Dhankhar is fighter and he is capable of fighting any ideology, person or disease. In such a situation, it does not seem easy to resign from ‘health reasons’.

He said that some sutras that are talking about the potential stories of impeachment or health reasons seem to be confusion. Manoj Jha wrote-‘This is India, here’ Hamaraj ‘opens’ Raj ‘… how much time and what time, this is the question.’

Jagdeep Dhankhar submitted his resignation to the President
Jagdeep Dhankhar submitted his resignation to President Draupadi Murmu on Monday evening (July 21, 2025). In his letter, he wrote, “To give priority to health care and to follow medical advice, I am resigning from the post of Vice President of India with immediate effect under Article 67 (A) of the Constitution.”

Opposition’s question – is it really just a health reason?
Opposition parties have raised questions about the resignation of Dhankhar. CPI leader P. Sandosh Kumar said that this can be just a show. He said, “Dhankhar was conducting the House very actively. There could be some other serious reason behind his resignation. The real reason will only know Modi and Shah.”

Terror was till 2027
74 -year -old Jagdeep Dhankar was sworn in as Vice President in August 2022 and his term was scheduled till 2027. He was also the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. His resignation came to light on the very first day of the monsoon session of Parliament. Recently, he had an angioplasty in AIIMS, Delhi and in March 2025, he was hospitalized for some time.
