Center expressed the possibility of running away with Russian mother’s child via Nepal, Supreme Court indicated strict action

Regarding the matter of Russian citizen Victoria leaving the country, the central government told the Supreme Court that the woman had probably left the country with her child. The government has said on the basis of the location received from its email IP that after entering Nepal via Bihar, she first moved to UAE and then to Russia.

The court asked the government for official confirmation of this information. The judges said that after this he would order a red corner notice against the woman and use the use of diplomatic methods. Victoria had filed a petition in the Supreme Court by telling her 4 and a half year old child in the illegal custody of husband Saikat Basu.

The woman disappeared with the child

On 22 May this year, the Supreme Court allowed him to keep the child with him 3 days a week. Under this system, when the child was with her, she disappeared with her. Only Basu has reached the Supreme Court regarding this complaint.

A woman was seen going to the embassy through the back door

It has been told in the petition that Victoria, who was living in the Defense Colony of Delhi, was seen on 7 July with a Russian diplomat going to the embassy from the back door. The child was with him at that time. On July 10, he reached the place already fixed to withdraw his child, but Victoria did not come there.

Court ordered Delhi Police

On Thursday (July 17, 2025), the Supreme Court took the case seriously and sought a report from Delhi Police in 24 hours. The court also allowed Delhi Police to search the house of the Russian Embassy Officer. The court had requested the Russian Embassy to cooperate with the police. The court also asked all the international airports to get information.
