The ED has arrested Sandeep Yadav and Arvind Walia, promoters of Ramprastha Group on Monday (July 21, 2025) in the Rs 1100 crore builder-broad fraud case. The ED team raided the house and business location of Sandeep Yadav and Arvind Walia in Delhi and Gurugram. Both these ramprastha promoters & developers Pvt. Ltd. (RPDPL) is the director and major share holder.
According to the ED, the Ramprastha Group recovered Rs 1100 crore from more than 2000 people in the name of projects like Edge, Skyz, Rise and Ramprastha City, but even after 15-20 years, people have neither received flats nor plots have been posted.
Arrest of accused is being interrogated
Earlier, on July 11, ED attached a property worth Rs 681.54 crore of Ramprastha Group and its group companies. Now Sandeep Yadav and Arvind Walia are being arrested and questioned. ED says that further investigation is going on in this entire case.
Let us know that the ED had found in its investigation that Ramprastha developers launched several projects between 2008 and 2011. For these projects, the company had deposited about Rs 1100 crore from more than 2000 people, but till date neither flats have been given nor the possession of the plot.
Customer money invested in other works
The investigation also revealed that the company’s promoters Arvind Walia, Balwant Chaudhary Singh and Sandeep Yadav transferred the money received from home buyers to other group companies. This money was invested in purchasing land or in other works, while it was to be used to make flats.
